Terms of use

Using the BrainJam platform

These are the terms for people who hold a BrainJam account. The full Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement form the agreement between BrainJam and your organisation, and are available from us on request.

1. Your account

Accounts belong to certified facilitators and administrators; the people who take part in a session do not need one. You must be 18 or over. Keep your password to yourself and do not share your account — if you think someone else has access, tell us at help@brainjam.quest straight away.

2. Content

Quests, clues, artwork, the printed kit and the debrief framework are the intellectual property of BrainJam and CPEIC studio. They are licensed to your organisation for internal team use for the length of its subscription. Please do not publish or share quest answers or clue content outside your session, copy the kit for distribution, or use the material to run sessions for anyone outside your organisation.

3. Fair play

BrainJam is for teams to practise communication and decision-making together. Automated solving, probing or interfering with the platform, and reaching for another organisation's data, are not permitted. Answers are checked against the expected answer, so keep them to actual answers — anything typed there is stored as part of the session record, as described in the privacy notice.

4. What BrainJam is not

BrainJam is not a psychometric instrument, personality test or competency assessment, and it does not measure individual ability or performance. Its data, session results and facilitator observations must not be used as evidence for recruitment, promotion, performance management, disciplinary decisions, redundancy selection or any other decision affecting someone's employment. That is a condition of the service, not a suggestion.

5. Availability

BrainJam is running as a pilot with a small number of invited organisations. We aim to keep the platform available and will give notice of planned maintenance where we can, but during the pilot we do not offer a guaranteed uptime level. The on-screen timer is a pacing guide, not a limit: play does not stop when it reaches zero.

6. Contact

Questions about these terms, about your account, or about anything else can go to your organisation's administrator or to help@brainjam.quest.
